With Anthropic’s latest release, Claude 4, you can build almost anything you can think of - from a personal project portfolio to your business’s website to custom apps and games that are fully playable - all from a single prompt.
Here’s five quick builds I made and how you can do the same for yourself, completely free.
Getting Started with Claude

Head over to your browser and search for Claude AI. Create a free account just like any other chatbot site. On the free plan, you get access to Claude Sonnet 4, which is the model we’re using. They also have Claude Opus 4 as their more enhanced model.
Anthropic’s Claude models are really strong at coding - that’s the main use case people rely on them for. They also produce noticeably more humanised text output.
1. Personal Portfolio Website
I provided details about being an AI engineer, my name, and what I wanted included. Claude generated an entire portfolio with animated loading elements, interactive featured projects with glow effects, an about me section, tools and technologies, and even a contact form.
The more information you provide about sections, colours, and themes, the better the output. You can publish it directly or take the code and host it through Vercel or another hosting service.
2. Flappy Bird Game

For the gaming use case, I asked Claude to create a Flappy Bird-style game. Press spacebar to fly through gaps and earn points. It tracks your score and best score, all from one prompt. You can customise it further by asking for fireballs, different graphics, or any other element you can think of.
3. Flight Simulator Meets Minecraft
This next one was something I saw on LinkedIn - a crossover between Flight Simulator and Minecraft. It creates a blocky world that self-generates with different biomes, and you can fly a plane around inside of it. You can continue iterating: ask for caves, different planes, and more. The app keeps building out from your prompts.
4. Custom To-Do List App

There are heaps of to-do list apps out there, but creating your own lets you personalise it to exactly what you like. One prompt produced a simple app where you can add tasks, check them off, and delete them when done. Fully customisable with your preferred colours and layout.
5. Business Website
Web developers cost quite a lot of money. If you need a basic page to show off what your product does in the early days, Claude can help. I provided business details for a Christchurch-based electrician, and it generated a full site with a made-up name, colour scheme, services section, customer testimonials, and a contact page.
When you provide your actual name, colours, themes, and logos, the output becomes much more personalised.
Final Thoughts
It’s far from perfect - there will be bugs in the development process and limitations in what can be achieved. But the exciting part about AI is the ability for people who don’t have the technical background to create and develop their ideas. And this is the worst AI will ever be at creating websites and apps, which is a thought worth sitting with.
