Connector terms

Version 2026-10-21. These terms apply when you download, install or use the connector.

  1. What this is. The Xero connector (the connector) is a free Claude Desktop extension made by Harkness AI Ltd (we, us). By downloading it you agree to these terms.
  2. Provided as is. The connector is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise that it is accurate, secure, error-free, fit for any particular purpose or compatible with your setup.
  3. No maintenance or support. We have no obligation to maintain, update, fix or support the connector. It may stop working at any time, including if Xero or Anthropic change their products or APIs. We may stop offering it at any time.
  4. Not affiliated. Harkness AI is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Xero Limited or Anthropic. Xero and Claude are trade marks of their owners.
  5. Your responsibilities. You are responsible for your Xero app, Client ID and any other credentials, the access you grant, your Xero data and backups, and for following Xero’s and Anthropic’s terms. You must review every record Claude drafts or changes before you approve, send or rely on it.
  6. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising from the connector or its use, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise. That includes loss or corruption of data, accounting, GST or tax errors, penalties, lost profits and business interruption. If we are found liable despite this, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the connector, which is nothing (NZ$0).
  7. Business use. You confirm you are acquiring the connector for the purposes of a business. To the extent permitted by section 43 of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, that Act does not apply. As we are both in trade, to the extent permitted by section 5C of the Fair Trading Act 1986, sections 9, 12A and 13 of that Act do not apply. You agree this is fair and reasonable given the connector is free.
  8. Licence. The connector is also covered by the licence file included in the download.
  9. Law. These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
