What a ChatGPT session covers

Half a day, laptops open, on your team’s real work. The order below is the usual one. We move it around for your team after the scoping call.

    Set up the workspace properly 30 min

    ChatGPT Business or Enterprise, seats for everyone in the room, admin and data controls checked. On those plans OpenAI does not train on your content by default.

    Teach it your business 30 min

    Custom instructions with NZ context - spelling, GST, IRD, your industry and tone - and memory switched on where it helps.

  3. 03

    Projects for real work 30 min

    One project per client, job or recurring report, with the files and instructions inside, so nobody re-explains the background.

    Custom GPTs for the jobs you repeat 45 min

    Quote drafts, enquiry replies, report formats. Built once on the day, shared with the team, used the same way every time.

    Connect your tools 30 min

    Apps for Gmail, Google Drive, SharePoint and the other systems you already use, plus Deep research for the bigger questions.

  6. 06

    Build on your own work 60 min

    Each person builds one or two workflows for their own role with Blake beside them, then the team agrees its safe-use rules.

Data privacy

One rule for what goes into ChatGPT

Every team leaves with the same simple rule, agreed in the room and written down. It sits on top of the plan settings: on ChatGPT Business and Enterprise, OpenAI does not train on your content by default.

  • Green

    Low-risk internal work

    Drafting, summarising, brainstorming, rewriting your own documents. Fine on any business plan.

  • Amber

    Anything customer-related

    Client emails, quotes, job notes. Only on a business plan with the data controls checked, and with care.

  • Red

    Highly sensitive data

    Health, payroll, legal matters. Keep it out, or in private systems built for it. Never in a free tool.

Do you train on ChatGPT Enterprise as well as ChatGPT Business?

Yes. The session runs on whichever plan your team pays for. Enterprise adds more admin control and Australian data residency, so we check your workspace settings before the day and teach the features your plan actually has.

Is it safe to put business data into ChatGPT?

On ChatGPT Business and Enterprise, OpenAI does not train on your content by default. On personal plans (Free, Go, Plus and Pro) training is on unless you switch it off in data controls. In the session your team agrees a simple traffic-light rule: green for low-risk internal work, amber for customer-related work on a business plan, red for highly sensitive data that stays out.

What is an OpenAI Select Partner?

Select is a tier of the OpenAI Partner Network, the OpenAI programme for partners that build, sell and deliver AI solutions with OpenAI. Harkness AI is an OpenAI Select Partner. It does not mean OpenAI runs or endorses a particular training session.

Should my team learn ChatGPT or Claude?

Pick on fit. ChatGPT suits teams that already work in it, need images every day, or need Australian data residency on Enterprise. Claude suits teams that want AI inside Xero, Excel and their own systems. We run the session on whichever you pay for, and tell you straight if we think the other one fits better.

What do we need before the session?

A seat for each person on the plan you choose, a laptop each on the day, and two or three real work examples per person - a typical email, a document, a recurring task. We send a short pre-flight checklist about a week out.

Can you run ChatGPT training at our office?

Yes, anywhere in New Zealand, or live online for teams spread across the country. Recent team sessions ran in Christchurch, Upper Hutt and Palmerston North.

How much does a ChatGPT training session cost?

It depends on team size, how long you want and where we run it. We quote a fixed price in writing after a free 30-minute call, before anything is booked. ChatGPT seats are paid to OpenAI separately, on whichever plan your team chooses.
